Alan C. Youngs retired as a Division Chief after 33 years from the Lakewood, Colorado Police Department, He was a Division Chief in the Investigation Division and the Community Resources Division, Captain in the Intelligence and Information Management Divisions and held command positions in every division of the police department. 

He is an Attorney,a member of the American Bar Association Rule of Law Committee, a member Americans for Effective Law Enforcement (AELE) Board of Directors, is an AELE certified Litigation Specialist. He is a member of ACFE and is a Certified Fraud Specialist. He is a member of the International Association Chiefs of Police (IACP) Investigative Operations and Professional Standards Committees and a Member of the American Society of Industrial Security Law Enforcement Liaison Committee

He is a ten year member of the FBI’s Futures Working Group and the 2011 FBI Delphi Task Force on Gangs, Terrorism, and WMD. He is former president of Police Futurist International.

New Technology... New Fraud

We only need to look at the forecasts for technology in the near future to envision how this technology could be put to use by criminals and fraudsters. 

This presentation will discuss some of the technological advances futurists say are on the horizon and how those advances open up opportunity for theft and fraud.

Reservations required by four days in advance of meeting.  (For example, if the meeting is on Friday - you must RSVP by the previous Monday at 5:00pm)

Reservation cancellations and NO-SHOWS

 

Cancellations must be received no later than 5:00pm two days before the meeting.  (Using the same example as above, you must cancel by the Wednesday prior to the Friday meeting)

 

If you are unable to attend the meeting - please feel free to substitute an associate or friend in your place.  If you are a member and they are not a member -  your guest will be charged the difference between the member and guest fee. 

 

NO SHOWS:  If you RSVP and don't attend the meeting - you will still be invoiced the meeting price.  We have to pay our caterers for all that RSVPd whether they attend or not.  Thanks for understanding. We shall waive this requirement only for verifiable emergency situations.

CPE Credit

 

ACFE awards a maximum of one (1) hour of CPE credit for attendance of breakfast training meetings. 

 

Seminars and other events may offer more CPE.  Please refer to specific information regarding meetings other than breakfast trainings for CPE credits.

 

Annual Training Seminar - October 3-4, 2012

 

The Colorado Chapter of the ACFE holds an annual fall training seminar in October of each year.  This year's conference will be held on October 3-4 at the Wellshire Inn and Event Center (Colorado Blvd just north of Hampden)  Stay tuned for more information.
