Program Description
As fraud professionals, we strive to eliminate fraud and its associated risks. But the reality is that reducing fraud risk to zero is impractical. Despite our best efforts, fraud risk will likely always exist to some extent due to limited resources, imperfect controls, and the relentless creativity of fraudsters in committing and rationalizing fraud. While eliminating fraud risk entirely might be unrealistic, fraud examiners can effectively manage fraud risk by adopting a risk-based approach.
Today’s presentation will address the characteristics of the fraudster, risk factors, observations, how to tackle a fraud event, investigate and prepare a claim for an insurance carrier or court situation.
